Demonstrates structural, optical, and magnetic enhancements in Sr doped LaMnO3 nanocrystals, suggesting significant property evolution with temperature.
Sr-doped LaMnO 3 nanocrystalline Samples were prepared by using a sol–gel auto-combustion technique and heated in the temperature range of 600 °C to 1200 °C for studying their temperature-dependent structural, optical, Raman, and magnetic properties. XRD confirmed the formation of a single-phase rhombohedral perovskite structure with improved crystallinity at higher temperatures. The crystallite size increased from 13.62 to 22.70 nm, while FESEM analysis revealed grain growth and enhanced morphological uniformity with increasing calcination temperature. FTIR spectra verified the formation of MnO 6 octahedral structures and reduction of residual impurities at elevated temperatures. UV–V is analysis showed a decrease in optical band gap from 3.86 to 2.45 eV, indicating enhanced semiconductor behavior due to particle size effects. Raman spectroscopy confirmed characteristic vibrational modes associated with MnO 6 octahedra and their temperature-dependent evolution. Magnetic measurements revealed ferromagnetic behavior with increasing saturation magnetization. These results demonstrate a strong correlation between thermal processing, structural refinement, and multifunctional properties, highlighting the improved structural, optical, and magnetic characteristics of Sr-doped LaMnO 3 nanomaterials.
