Intersection of Time and Memory: From the NTNU Affiliated Senior High School Four Two Experimental Class to the Birth of the "Time Progressive Poetry"; Evolutionary Progress in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics, Lenox Institute Press, 8(7C). ... ABSTRACT: This book features two long poems created using the "Time-Progressive Poetry" form: "Poetic Memories of Time: Childhood Sweethearts" and "Eternal Friendship: Reunion of Old Classmates." Both works are set against the historical backdrop of the six-year integrated education of the National Taiwan Normal University Affiliated Senior High School (NTNU Affiliated Senior High School) Four-Two Experimental Class (1950‒1961). Through a progressive structure spanning three life stages—youth, midlife, and elder years—they showcase seventy years of camaraderie and generational memory. "Poetic Memories of Time: Childhood Sweethearts" depicts a life trajectory from youthful innocence to a retrospective view in old age, symbolizing the flow of youthful light and the deep roots of friendship. "Eternal Friendship: Reunion of Old Classmates," with themes of empty nest, septuagenarian years, and reunion, illustrates how friendship, as it settles with time, sublimates into a profound bond akin to family. These two long poems, reflecting each other, collectively form a literary work that takes time as its narrative axis and memory as its emotional core. They also serve as important documents for Taiwan's educational history, life history, and collective memory. This book further proposes "Time-Progressive Poetry" as a new poetic form, exploring its literary characteristics, educational significance, and humanistic value. It aims to provide new theoretical perspectives for contemporary poetry studies, educational history research, and the development of STEAM Humanities.
