The review of the species related to Hedysarum ucrainicum Kaschm. (sect. Multicaulia; Fabaceae) is given. The species of the H. ucrainicum affinity are well distinct from all races of polymorphic H. gmelinii Ledeb. by persistent and hanging in fruit (not directed upwards) flowers; differ from all species of the H. severzovii Bunge affinity (H. pavlovii Bajtenov, H. dmitrievae Bajtenov, H. nikolai Kovalevsk. and others) by narrower beans (3–4 mm, vs. 6–7 mm wide). New species H. ulutavicum Knjaz. and H. tarbagataicum Knjaz. are described; the rank of H. schellianum var. villosum Knjaz. is increased up to the species, with a replacement name H. villosissimum Knjaz. The distribution map of the studied species is given.
