Compared network interactions during different emotional conditions: negative valence/high arousal, positive valence/high arousal, and neutral valence/low arousal.
During the negative valence/high arousal condition, migraineurs showed greater within-network connectivity in the superior lateral occipital cortex (DMN) compared to controls.
Increased cross-network coupling with the attention, control, and visual networks was observed in the migraine group.
Network connectivity differences were not evident during positive valence/high arousal or neutral valence/low arousal conditions.
