On May 28, 2026, at the age of 93, Yevgeny Fedorovich Lushnikov, a talented scientist, pathologist, Doctor of Medical Sciences, professor, and Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, renowned both in Russia and abroad, passed away. For 44 years (until 2010), Yevgeny Fedorovich served as the uninterrupted head of the Clinical Morphology Department and the Laboratory of Pathological Anatomy with its autopsy room at the Research Institute of Medical Radiology of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR in Obninsk (since 1992, the Medical Radiological Research Center; today, it is the A.F. Tsyb Medical Radiological Research Center—MRRC, a branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “National Medical Research Center for Radiology” of the Russian Ministry of Health).
