Experimental study shows improved academic performance in slow learners with new teaching strategies, suggesting better educational approaches.
The present study, titled A Development of Teaching Strategies for Slow Learners and Its Effectiveness, aimed to develop teaching strategies for slow learners and examine their effectiveness in improving academic achievement and classroom participation. An experimental research design was adopted, with students divided into a control group and an experimental group. The experimental group received instruction through developed teaching strategies, including remedial teaching, ICT-based learning, activity-based learning, repetition, simple explanations, and individual attention, while the control group was taught using traditional methods. The findings revealed that the developed teaching strategies significantly improved the academic performance, classroom participation, confidence, and conceptual understanding of slow learners. The study concludes that learner-centered teaching strategies effectively enhance the learning outcomes of slow learners and help reduce their learning difficulties in the classroom.
