The high spatial resolution, narrowband, IR line images and CO interferometer data presented for NGC 7027 trace emissions from the central H II region, the intermediate dissociative region, and the molecular circumstellar envelope. Attention is given to the remarkable change in morphology observed in the H2 emission and the dust feature. It is reasoned that the exterior H2 loops of the galaxy are due to molecular gas that is heated by the far-UV emission escaping from the H II region and delineates a photodissociation front.
