ABSTRACT; The purpose of this article is to report the principles, technique, and results of curved keratotomy performed to correct congenital astigmatism. The theoretical basis of this procedure is based on the Gauss' Law of the Tota! Curvature of the Surfaces, which is simplified by the author in the "Mean Radius Law." The relationship between the spheroequivalent value and the mean radius and their importance in the predictability of results is explained. The results of 205 eyes operated by curved keratotomy procedure are reported. This technique seems to be very simple, with good predictability and stable results.
