The Five Aspects Meal Model (FAMM) integrates the main elements of the meal experience. But there is a need to put the meal into a much broader perspective in order to fully understand and appreciate the complexity of the meal. This paper will present the meal from a multidisciplinary perspective, with many different yet complementary views of meals.
