The result of electronic structure calculations at the POL-CI level are presented for the lowest few doublet and quartet states of N 2 + . Dipole transition moments and radiative lifetimes of a number of states of spectroscopic interest are also given. These results are used to suggest interpretations of a number of recent experiments.
