The He II photoelectron spectrum of N 2 between 23.5 and 28.0 eV taken at high resolution makes it possible to propose an extension of the known region of the C 2 Σ u + state of N 2 + . Comparison is made with band-spectroscopic data and recent mass-spectrometric data.
