Determination of the amount of water vapor entering the stratosphere based on Halogen Occultation Experiment (HALOE) data

Using version 19 Halogen Occultation Experiment (HALOE) data, we estimate the abundance of water vapor entering the stratosphere [H 2 O] e is 3.80±0.49 ppmv averaged over 1993–1997. The average of all of the recently published estimates of [H 2 O] e is 3.85 ppmv, which we believe is the best estimate of [H 2 O] e .
