The distance dependence of the strength of the magnetic interaction between Mn atoms dissolved in Pd is proposed on the basis of the experimental results for the spontaneous magnetisation at T=0, the 'step' in the electrical resistivity and for magnetic entropy as deduced from specific heat. Using this interaction a Monte-Carlo calculation of the specific heat and other properties has been carried out and compared with the experimental data.
