Measurements of the specific heat of a series of Pd-Mn (2.7-9.5 at% Mn) alloys indicate that the characteristic ferromagnetic ordering is broken up when the concentration of Mn in Pd is increased from 2.7 to 4 at%. A concentration of 3.5 at% is thought to be the upper bound for the occurrence of a uniform ferromagnetic ordering type.
