Helium isotope measurements show that North Pacific deep water contains excess 3He in amounts similar to the values observed previously in the South Pacific. The maximum ratio anomaly relative to atmospheric 3He/4He is 22% at 2000–2500 meters and decreases to 13% at 4100 meters.
