Silver‐resin column chromatography, preceded by preparative gas‐liquid chromatography to remove unconjugated esters, has been used to separate conjugated methyl octadecadienoates into cis,cis‐, cis,trans‐ , and trans,trans‐ isomers, also methyl eleostearate into a‐ and ॆ‐isomers in 91 to 100% purity.
