A general method for calculating the frequency spectra of magnetically induced stator vibration in wound rotor induction machines with winding deterioration is developed. This procedure is then used to obtain a relative comparison of stator vibration spectra in an induction motor running under normal conditions with that of the same motor when it has experienced internal line-to-line deterioration between two stator phases.
