FRIENDS (Flexible, Reliable and Intelligent Electrical eNergy Delivery System) is proposed as a new con-cept for a future power distribution system. One of the most important characteristics of FRIENDS is that QCC (Quality Control Center) as a power quality control facility is installed very closely to customers in order to supply several qualities of power and enables customers to choose the quality of power. The concept to supply multi-quality of power is called as unbundled power quality service. Equipment of Quality Control Center will be different depending on the definition of the power quality. This paper shows the way of definition of power quality and the relation of QCC with the definition. As configurations of QCCs based on AC system, authors propose a new system. The details, simulation and experimental results are shown in this paper.
