In this paper, new method named Virtual Flux Method which allows calculating flows around arbitrary body shapes on Cartesian grid is proposed. This method is close to Virtual Boundary Method which also enables calculating flows around bodies on Cartesian grid. To describe bodies, in Virtual Boundary Method, governing equations are added external force, on the other side in Virtual Flux Method, numerical fluxes across the virtual boundary surfaces are modified. To evaluate the validation of this new method, flows around a circular cylinder and a pair of circular cylinders are calculated and quantitative comparisons between Virtual Flux Method, Virtual Boundary Method and body fitted coordinate method have been done. As a result, accuracy of Virtual Flux Method is better than Virtual Boundary Method and is similar with body fitted coordinate method. Also its number of time steps required for convergence of steady flows are less than Virtual Boundary Method.
