The increasing need for novel anticancer therapies has led to the exploration of plant based compounds as significant cancer treatment. Thus, this study reviewed the impact of artificial intelligence driven predictive models for assessing the cytotoxic and apoptotic responses of of Alcalypha wilkesiana leaf extract on HeLa cells. It was established that the integration of machine learning algorithms with experimental data for the prediction of concentration related to cytotoxicity as well as apoptosis induction of the leaf extract, identification of the bioactive compounds that are responsible for the effects. It was confirmed from the reviewed studies that the artificial intelligence models showed high accuracy in the prediction of cell viability and apoptotic markers showing that Alcalypha wilkesiana reduced HeLa cell proliferation significantly as well as the induction of cell death. The findings showed the values of artificial intelligence in the improvement of drug delivery processes as well as prediction of the accuracy.
