A battery of characterizational tests have been performed on a systematically varying series of segmented polyurethanes. These tests include small angle light scattering (SALS), small angle and wide angle x‐ray diffraction, optical and electron microscopy, and mechanical testing (both tensile and dynamic). Observable macroscopic properties are directly correlated with and interpreted by a model based on the observed anisotropic spherulitic macrostructure which is dependent on the chemical microstructure and the sample history.
