Pediatricians, through concern for and understanding of the problem of accidents, can do much to assure an active, forceful, and rational approach to childhood injury. Pediatricians can maximize the effectiveness of their efforts by identifying the interaction of principle causal factors and supporting a combination of preventive measures.
