A kinetic model is developed for N 2 -O 2 flowing discharges and post-discharges with self-consistent calculations of N 2 (X,V) vibrational distribution, N, O and NO densities and gas temperature. A satisfactory agreement is obtained between theory and experiments in N 2 -O 2 flowing microwave discharges for intensities of N 2 , NO and NO 2 bands and densities of N and O atoms in the N 2 -O 2 afterglow.
