On the basis of magnetic measurements, the magnetic specific heat, M\"ossbauer spectra, and neutron magnetic scattering data, a model is presented for the magnetic structure of the fcc gold-iron alloys with 0.15 to 0.19 atomic fraction Fe which is more consistent with the various types of data than are previous models. The model explains some previously unexplained experimental results.
