Array of light! Arrays of nanoscale organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) have been fabricated over centimeter-square areas using soft nanolithography. Ru[(bpy)3]-based OLEDs with 250-nm diameters and high densities (2.6×105 mm2) were achieved, and addressability of these nano-OLEDs in one dimension was realized. The image displays the large-area emission from such a nano-OLED array.
