If feedback is considered information return related to an output or performance, a myriad of procedural variations is possible. The widely disparate methods and procedures included under the rubic feedback evidence this. The present paper suggests a classification system for organizing the feedback literature, and identifies a number of dimensions along which feedback procedures may be analyzed. The extremes and various points along each dimension are discussed. In addition, data are presented which evidence the utility of the classification system.
