Dielectric and thermal properties of the copolymer of vinylfluoride and trifluoroethylene were investigated in a temperature range of -100°C to 250°C. This copolymer with form I crystal has a high melting point, compared to those of the homopolymers, and shows a maximum dielectric constant at 143°C, which is below the melting point. The dielectric behavior suggests that this crystalline copolymer may be ferroelectric. The microstructural analysis by 19 F-NMR indicated a certain fraction of alternating sequence.
