Conducting ethical research in the field of aging and climate change means that we acknowledge chronological age as an important factor responsible for biological and physiological changes partially accounting for the susceptibility of older persons to the changing climate. However, we also must recognize intersectionality (i.e., the simultaneous holding of different social attributes) and sociocultural contexts, which make some older persons more susceptible to the effects of climate change, while others remain resilient.
