Organic (drug) nanoparticles are formed by a freeze–dry process in situ inside the emulsion-templated temperature-senstive polymeric materials. These nanoparticles could be pumped into water to form stable nanodispersions on demand simply by raising the surrounding temperature above 30 °C, while there were no particles released at room temperatures below 20 °C.
