A number of isotopes of bismuth have been identified from the bombardment of lead with high energy deuterons and protons. Evidence for these assignments is based chiefly on the daughter lead and thallium activities resulting from electron-capture decay. Those isotopes exhibiting alpha-decay have been investigated as to energy and half-life for this mode of decay. A discussion is given of the relationship between half-life and energy for all known alpha-active bismuth isotopes.
