Since 1986, the supported employment program has experienced remarkable growth. However, a number of policy and implementation barriers remain which limit access to all individuals who could benefit from the program, and which limit the outcomes which participants experience. This article defines and discusses 10 program development, research, and policy analysis needs that are crucial for the continued success of the program.
