Stentless full root replacement comparison with stented valves is hypothesis-generating; Level 5 evidence leaves clinical superiority open.
The technically demanding full root aortic valve replacement necessitating coronary ostia reimplantation leads to controversial hesitation by some surgeons despite superior haemodynamics and excellent long term clinical performances of the stentless xenografts. To determine the justification we compared our clinical data of stentless full root replacements with stented aortic xenograft implantations.
