By loading semiconductor surfaces with ferrites, Gunn-effect domain formation can be effectively suppressed. Our analytical results show that the oscillation criterion is nd ≥ 1.6×1011 √(μ) cm−2 where μ is the diagonal component of the tensor permeability.
