Abstract 1‐(Methylthio)propyl propenyl disulfide (IV) and sec ‐butyl 3‐(methylthio)allyl disulfide (VII), isolated from Asa foetida , have been synthetisized in reasonable yields, starting from methyl dithiopropionate and 1‐(methylthio)‐3‐chloropropene respectively.
