A series of ether‐amide block copolymers was studied by means of differential scanning calorimetry, mechanical analysis, and transmission electron microscopy. All of these techniques indicated a two‐phase structure. However, the degree of phase segregation was relatively low as measured by calorimetry, and in the same range as for conventional segmented linear polyurethanes. The existence of an important interphase can explain the appearance of plastic behaviour in hard domains at temperatures well below the polyamide melting points. The low ordering was confirmed by transmission electron microscopy. Only the ether‐amide copolymer with a composition in the phase inversion range exhibited a spherulitic, well‐defined polyamide structure.
