A fatigue residual strength degradation model has been generalized to account for the effect of tension-compression fatigue loading. The model is verified experimentally by use of graphite/epoxy unnotched composite laminates. It is shown that the correlation between the experimental results and the theoretical predictions on both the residual strength degradation and fatigue life is very reasonable.
