The article investigates dual education as a crucial driver of higher education transformation under modern socioeconomic conditions. Dual education, which integrates theoretical learning at higher education institutions with practical training in a real work environment, is gaining importance as an effective response to the growing demands of the labor market and the need to modernize educational processes. The paper examines the principles, benefits, and challenges of implementing dual education within the Ukrainian higher education system, with reference to international experience. Particular attention is paid to its influence on improving the quality of professional training, increasing student employability, and fostering cooperation between universities and employers. The study argues that dual education significantly contributes to the alignment of educational outcomes with market needs, facilitates the development of applied competencies, and ensures a smoother transition of graduates into the professional environment. Moreover, the article analyzes the normative and organizational frameworks supporting dual education in Ukraine, as well as systemic barriers to its large-scale implementation, including insufficient legal regulation, limited institutional capacity, and the need for deeper stakeholder engagement. The conclusion emphasizes that dual education should be considered a strategic instrument for increasing the efficiency, relevance, and competitiveness of higher education in Ukraine, as well as for promoting a sustainable model of universitybusiness collaboration in a knowledge-based economy.
