Results are given of electrical resistance measurements of pure palladium and palladium-silver alloys at pressures of gaseous hydrogen in the range from several bar up to 25 kbar at 25 °C. A model for the explanation of the room temperature data as well as the low temperature anomaly is proposed. Its essential feature is the assumption of octa-and tetrahedral sites occupation by hydrogen.
