A study of the Vickers microhardness (MH V ) of the ferroelectrics triglycine sulphate and triglycine selenate as a function of temperature has been carried out. The values of MH V obtained show an abrupt change in behaviour near the temperature at which the ferroelectric-paraelectric transition occurs. These results together with those obtained in previous experiments (1981) on the Rochelle salt indicate the usefulness of the microhardness probe in the study of the ferroelectric order-disorder transition temperature.
