Zur Kenntnis des μ-Amido-μ-peroxo-bis[bis(äthylendiamin)-kobalt(III)]-Kations und seiner Salze / On the μ-Amido-μ-peroxo-bis [bis (ethylenediamine) cobalt (III)] Cation and Its Salts

The μ-amido-μ-peroxo-bis[bis(ethylenediamine)cobalt(III)] cation, [(en) 2 Co·μ(NΗ 2 ,O 2 ) · Co(en) 2 ] 3⊕ (C) is an intermediate species in Werner's preparation of the corresponding μ-amido-μ-superoxo and the μ-amido-μ-hydroperoxo complexes. Preparations of racemic salts of (C) containing the anions I ⊖ , SCN ⊖ , and S 2 O 6 2⊖ respectively are described. By means of an X-ray structure analysis of the thiocyanate of (C) the O 2 bridge was proved to be a true peroxo group.
