Conceptual framework proposes an AI-assisted solar–hydrogen system to enhance energy resilience in autonomous buildings, indicating robust interdisciplinary collaboration.
This paper presents a conceptual framework for an AI-assisted integrated solar–hydrogen energy system designed to improve the energy resilience and sustainability of autonomous buildings. The proposed architecture combines photovoltaic power generation, battery energy storage, hydrogen production through electrolysis, hydrogen storage, and fuel cell technology into a unified intelligent energy management system. The concept explores how artificial intelligence and digital twin technologies can optimize energy production, storage, and consumption while increasing system reliability and reducing dependence on external energy infrastructure. In addition, the proposed architecture considers the integration of water recovery, emergency backup power, and modular deployment for applications such as hospitals, research facilities, remote communities, and disaster response units. This publication presents a conceptual engineering proposal intended to stimulate interdisciplinary collaboration among engineers, researchers, software developers, and industry partners. It is not intended as a finalized engineering design but as a foundation for future research, simulation, optimization, and practical development.
