Determination of axial displacement extent based on transformer winding transfer function estimation using vector‐fitting method

This paper suggests a new method to determine the extent of the axial winding displacement which is based on the transfer function (TF) estimation using the vector‐fitting (VF) method. The identification of the TF in normal and displaced conditions can be achieved properly using VF methods. To study the different degrees of mechanical displacements, a verified detailed model of transformer in the frequency range of kHz < f <MHz has been used. A new index for the determination of the displacement extent has been presented, too.
