It has been observed that the major competitive advantage for a corporation lies in the corporation's knowledge and therefore “knowledge management” has become a critical issue. In order to understand the progress in knowledge management practice, this paper unifies previous knowledge management frameworks into a single framework to serve as a basis to examine what has and what has not been done in practice. Eight cases were collected and analyzed. The analysis result gave us a clear picture of what and how knowledge management has been performed in these industries. Furthermore, several important lessons are summarized from these cases.
