We show that a significant fraction of the energy of a γ-ray burst (GRB) is probably converted to a burst of 10 17 -10 19 eV neutrinos and multiple GeV γ-rays that follow the main GRB by ~10 s. If GRBs accelerate protons to ~10 20 eV, a suggestion that recently gained support from observations of GRB afterglows, then both the neutrinos and the γ-rays may be detectable.
