This paper deals with the spectral analysis of the bilinear spacevariant transfer in microscopy. It is shown that the bilinear transfer function (BTF) can be synthesized at will by modifying the source and pupil parameters. It is also shown that quasi-coherent processing techniques such as strioscopy or phase contrast methods can be explained in terms of bilinear non-coherent filtering. Some examples of simulated BTF are given.
