Design and Performance Analysis of an Electromagnetic Coil-Gun Based Prototype Rocket Shuttle Launcher

the purpose of this paper is to share research findings, on coil guns and related subjects. In the run we aim to create a stage coil gun that can propel projectiles at supersonic speeds. Recent advancements in energy storage, switching and magnet technologies have made acceleration an alternative to chemical propulsion for specific tasks as well as enabling new possibilities. Significant progress has been made in the development of railguns or coil guns and power supply technologies in years. This paper outlines a concept for a coil gun system. Identifies technology development challenges. The topic involves the utilization of propellant and magnetic fields throughout its trajectory along with modifications, to the structural design and materials used in space shuttles based on the discussed conditions.
