Elastic and Inelastic Scattering of Electrons from theSStates of Atomic Hydrogen

Total elastic and inelastic cross sections for the scattering of electrons (including exchange) from the $1s$, $2s$, and $3s$ states of atomic hydrogen have been calculated in three approximations using the method of partial waves. The purpose of this report is to present the S-, P-, and D-wave contributions to the elastic, Q_1s-1s, and inelastic, Q_1s-2s, cross sections.
