In wireless power transfer (WPT) systems, zero phase angle (ZPA) switching, constant current (CC) and constant voltage (CV) output have consistently been focal points of attention. Achieving input ZPA significantly mitigates reactive power generation and enhances power transmission capability. This paper introduces a converter that incorporates an auxiliary variable inductor (VI) along with switchable SS and SP compensation topologies. With appropriately configured parameter of VI, the SS topology can achieve CC output independent of the load under ZPA conditions at a fixed frequency, while the SP topology can accomplish CV output unaffected by the load under ZPA conditions. To validate the characteristics of the proposed converter, an experimental prototype was constructed, exhibiting a constant output current of 3.1A and a constant output voltage of 133V at the frequency of 18.83kHz. The maximum efficiency of the proposed WPT system is 92.8% in CC mode and 93.23% in CV mode.
