Study of ferroelectric domains on KD₂PO₄and BaTiO₃crystals with the scanning electron microscope

Direct observation of the domain structure of KD2PO4 is made by using the scanning electron microscope. The surface layer of pure and doped BaTiO3 crystals is studied; experiments at higher temperatures show that c-domains remain at the surface above the Curie point of the bulk crystal.
