The synthesis and complete 1 H and 13 C NMR and 19 F NMR spectra of 2-(ptrifluoromethylphenyl)-3-methyl-4-(p-tolyl)-1,3-thiazolium-5-thiolate 2c and 2-(p-chlorophenyl)-3-methyl-4-(p-isopropylphenyl)-1,3-thiazolium-5-thiolate 2d are described. Their structures are consistent with 1 H and 13 C NMR spectral assignments obtained by 2D NMR spectrometry. Structures were further confirmed by elemental analysis, IR, UV and mass spectrometry and by X-ray diffraction.
